Celtics falter at Kings

Boston lost by a score of 100-99 Sunday afternoon at Sacramento to drop to 10-2 overall and 5-2 on the road. The Celtics were outscored 29-24 in the fourth quarter and gave up the go-ahead free throws with 13.3 seconds left. Jaylen Brown paced Boston with 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point distance. He also registered eight rebounds and two steals. Kemba Walker accounted for 15 points and nine assists. Daniel Theis tallied 14 points and 10 boards. Jayson Tatum registered 14 points, six caroms and two assists. Semi Ojeleye had 11 points, two rebounds and two steals off the bench. Enes Kanter added 10 points and seven boards as a reserve.

Suns race past Hawks

Phoenix cruised to a 128-112 home win Thursday night over Atlanta to improve to 7-4 overall and 5-3 at home. The Suns trailed by two after one quarter, but proceeded to outscore the Hawks a combined 73-57 over the ensuing two quarters. Kelly Oubre Jr. paced Phoenix with 30 points on 10-of-18 shooting including 2-of-8 from 3-point range plus 8-of-10 at the free throw line. He also registered seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Devin Booker recorded 27 points, seven assists, two boards and two steals. Dario Saric had 23 points and six caroms. Frank Kaminsky accounted for 19 points, six rebounds and two assists off the bench. Cameron Johnson added 15 points and four boards as a reserve.

NBA Betting Trends

Boston

The Celtics are 1-7 ATS in their last eight Monday games. Boston is 0-4 ATS in its last four games versus the Pacific Division.

Phoenix

The Suns are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Phoenix is 43-18 ATS in its last 61 games versus the Atlantic Division.

Prediction:

We know the Celtics were red-hot, but they did not play particularly great at Golden State and then fell yesterday at Sacramento. With the back-to-back nature of tonight's contest and the fact it is playing at a Suns squad that has been up to most challenges, I like the hosts here. Booker has torched Boston before and why not again tonight with a better team around him?
