The Houston Rockets and the host Minnesota Timberwolves are both in the second end of a back-to-back. Is a high-scoring affair that will go over the total in the cards despite both teams being fatigued?

Rockets win sixth straight
Houston earned a 111-102 victory Friday night at home over Indiana to improve to 9-3 overall and 5-1 at home. The Rockets outscored the Pacers 31-23 in the fourth quarter to put it away. James Harden paced Houston with 44 points on 13-of-26 shooting including 6-of-14 from 3-point range plus 12-of-14 at the free throw line. He also tallied eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. Ben McLemore accounted for 21 points and three boards. Russell Westbrook had 17 points, eight caroms and six dimes. Austin Rivers added 10 points, five rebounds and two steals off the bench.
T-Wolves fall without Wiggins
Minnesota lost 137-116 at home Friday night versus Washington as Andrew Wiggins missed the contest after the death of his grandmother. He is questionable to play tonight. The Timberwolves were outscored 61-43 in the second half of the defeat. Karl Anthony-Towns paced Minnesota with 37 points on 13-of-18 shooting including 4-of-6 from 3-point range plus 6-of-8 at the free throw line. He also racked up 10 rebounds and three assists. Robert Covington accounted for 20 points and six boards. Jeff Teague had 13 points and 11 assists. Josh Okogie accounted for 12 points, six rebounds and two dimes off the bench. Jarrett Culver added 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The under is 4-0 in the last four Rockets games following a straight up win. The under is 7-2 in the last nine Houston games versus the Northwest Division.
Minnesota
The over is 5-1 in the last six T-Wolves home games. The over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Minnesota.
Prediction:
Westbrook is expected to sit this contest out so keep an eye on any announced lineups. While the T-Wolves like to push the pace and don’t always play defense, if Wiggins is out again tonight it does severely hurt them offensively with the way he is playing. Houston might slow it down a bit on the second night of a back-to-back and fatigue could impact jump shots. I think this one is staying under the projected total tonight.
