Warriors drop fourth straight
Golden State fell by a score of 122-108 Monday night at home against Utah to drop to 2-9 overall and 2-3 on the road. The Warriors trailed 69-54 at halftime en route to the defeat. D'Angelo Russell paced Golden State with 33 points on 13-of-25 shooting including 5-of-9 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-5 at the free throw line. He also recourded eight assists and two rebounds. Jordan Poole tallied 11 points, six boards and two assists. Marquese Chriss accounted for 11 points, six rebounds and two assists off the bench. Alec Burks added 10 points and three dimes as a reserve.
Lakers take down Suns
Los Angeles picked up a 123-115 victory Tuesday night at Phoenix to improve to 8-2 overall and 4-1 on the road. The Lakers outscored the Suns 28-23 in the fourth quarter to put it away. Anthony Davis paced LA with 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point range plus 5-of-6 at the free throw line. He also registered 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Kyle Kuzma had 23 points and four boards off the bench. LeBron James accounted for 19 points, 11 dimes and seven caroms. Danny Green tallied 14 points and three assists. Dwight Howard registered 12 points and nine rebounds as a reserve. JaVale McGee added 11 points, three boards and three assists.
NBA Betting Trends
The Warriors are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall. Golden State is 0-6 ATS in its last six Wednesday games.
The Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last five games versus the Western Conference. Los Angeles is 6-1 ATS in its last seven home games.
The Lakers are on a back-to-back and Davis is banged up, so this is not as much of a sure thing as it first feels like. Draymond Green is back in the lineup and Russell can keep his squad in any game with his perimeter shooting. I'm going to bite here and say Golden State keeps it competitive against a fatigued Lakers group.
