Thunder bottle up Magic
Oklahoma City secured a 102-94 victory Tuesday night at home over Orlando to improve to 3-4 overall and 3-2 at home. The Thunder outscored the Magic 31-15 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander paced OKC with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting including 3-of-5 from 3-point range plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also accounted for three rebounds and two assists. Chris Paul tallied 20 points, six dimes, three steals and two boards. Danilo Gallinari had 16 points, three caroms and two assists. Steven Adams registered 11 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Darius Bazley added 10 points, six boards and two steals.
Spurs fall at Hawks
San Antonio faltered in the fourth quarter Tuesday night in a 108-100 loss Tuesday night at Atlanta to drop to 4-3 overall and 1-2 on the road. The Spurs were outscored 38-22 in the fourth quarter of the defeat. San Antonio was led by Demar DeRozan as he accounted for 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting plus 2-of-3 at the free throw line. He also tallied four rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocked shots. Bryn Forbes registered 17 points and two boards. Patty Mills had 16 points, two caroms and two steals. LaMarcus Aldridge added 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and four blocks.
NBA Betting Trends
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus the Western Conference. Oklahoma City is 2-6 ATS in its last eight Thursday games.
San Antonio
The Spurs are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. San Antonio is 0-4 ATS in its last four home games.
Prediction:
San Antonio has not been particularly consistent this season and it all fell apart in the fourth quarter two nights ago. What the Spurs do have is experience in DeRozan and Aldridge, the latter of which is very due for a big game. The Thunder took advantage of an Orlando team that is the worst in the NBA offensively thus far, but it won’t be nearly as easy here. I like San Antonio to bounce back strong after the poor fourth quarter at Atlanta.
NBA DAILY PREDICTION: SAN ANTONIO SPURS -4.5
