Miami lost by a score of 109-89 Tuesday night at Denver to drop to 5-2 overall and 2-2 on the road. The Heat trailed only 29-28 after one quarter, but were then outscored a combined 60-41 over the next two quarters. Suns take down Sixers

Phoenix handed visiting Philadelphia its first loss of the season Monday night, a 114-109 decision, for its third consecutive win. The Suns outscored the 76ers 59-48 in the second half of the victory. Devin Booker poured in 40 points on 15-of-19 shooting including 3-of-4 from 3-point range plus 7-of-7 at the charity stripe. NBA Betting Trends

The Heat are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven Thursday games. Miami is 11-5-1 ATS in its last 17 road games.

The Suns are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games. Phoenix is 7-0 ATS in its last seven games overall.

These have been two of the NBA's most surprising teams in the early going this season and while Miami took it on the chin a couple nights ago, I expect it to bounce back strong here. But the Suns have been very good in all areas and have successfully navigated life without the suspended DeAndre Ayton thus far. Expect a very good game, but I'm not going against Phoenix on its home floor the way it has been going lately.
