Kings vs. Pistons Pick
Will the Detroit Pistons win a second home game in as many days Saturday night versus the Sacramento Kings? Game time is 7PM EST.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Pistons are 9.5-point favorites on the spread line. The over-under is 194 points.
Sacramento comes in with a 1-7 record after a 113-86 loss at the Celtics, their sixth straight defeat. Detroit is 6-3 following a 105-96 win Friday night at home over the Bucks. The Kings won both meetings last season straight up and ATS. The over-under went 1-1.
The Kings were led by Buddy Hield off the bench as he had 17 points and seven rebounds in the loss at Boston. Zach Randolph had 16 points and five boards. George Hill scored 10 points. Sacramento trailed 58-45 at halftime and were outscored 31-15 in the third quarter.
Detroit was paced by Andre Drummond in the win over Milwaukee as he tallied 24 points and 15 rebounds. He also shot 14-of-16 from the free throw line and is now 28-36 on the season, a marked improvement for someone who came into the season a 38 percent free throw shooter. Avery Bradley contributed 23 points and three steals. Tobias Harris added 13 points. The Pistons led 59-48 at halftime and held on in the second half.
The Kings are 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings. The over is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings overall in Detroit, but the under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall.
Detroit is playing outstanding basketball and should certainly win this game despite being on a back-to-back, but with the Kings being more rested and being a better team than maybe their early-season play indicates is a good reason to believe this will be a competitive game. Look for the Sacramento veterans to finally make a difference and the young talent such as De’Aaron Fox show there is a reason for future optimism.
