Pacers vs. Cavaliers Pick
Are the host Cleveland Cavaliers going to get back on track Wedneaday night as big favorites versus the Indiana Pacers? Game time is at 7PM EST.
Oddsmakers at sports book Bovada.lv have made the Cavaliers a 10.5-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 217 points.
The Pacers come in with a 4-3 record after a 101-83 home win Monday night over the Kings. Cleveland is now 3-4 following a 114-95 home loss to the Knicks. The Cavaliers won seven of eight meetings straight up last year including all four playoff games, but it was an even 4-4 ATS. The over was 5-3.
Indiana was led by Bojan Bogdanovic as he scored 17 points Tuesday in a balanced scoring effort. Domantas Sabonis tallied 12 points and 16 rebounds. Thaddeus Young had 15 points, while Victor Oladipo scored 14. Corey Joseph added 13 off the bench. Indiana led 55-30 at halftime.
Kevin Love paced the Cavs with 22 points and 11 rebounds in the loss to New York. LeBron James had 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Derrick Rose scored 15, while Kyle Korver added 13 off the bench. Cleveland trailed by eight at halftime and then were outscored 30-21 in the third quarter en route to the defeat.
Indiana is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Cleveland. The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
Cleveland has started slow out of the gates, partially due to some new personnel getting integrated and possibly some due to James’ conditioning after missing much of training camp. But after head coach Tyronn Lue spoke to a few Cleveland players about being themselves on the floor following the loss to the Knicks, this seems like a great get-right spot. Indiana will have tired legs playing on a back-to-back and this could have the makings of a blowout.
