According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Los Angeles Lakers are the favorite to win it all this season, as they have 2/1 odds. Other short odds to win are the Miami Heat (9/4) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (7/2).

The Lakers lost in the Western Conference semifinals last year to the Thunder. In the offseason, the Lakers made some big changes, acquiring Steve Nash to play point guard and trading for Dwight Howard from the Magic. The Lakers have won the NBA Championship 17 times.

The Heat won the NBA Championship last season, the second in franchise history. The Heat are led by the trio of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. Miami also added Ray Allen to the roster for this season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals last year. Oklahoma City reached the finals for the first time in franchise history and are led by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Oklahoma City just traded one of its key pieces from last season, James Harden, to the Rockets.
