Wizards collapse in fourth at Kings
Washington was outscored 37-27 in the fourth quarter at Sacramento Friday night in a 116-112 loss. The Wizards dropped to 1-4 on the season. John Wall paced the Wizards with 26 points on 9-of-20 shooting with eight assists, three steals, three blocks and two rebounds. Kelly Oubre Jr. contributed 22 points, nine boards and two assists off the bench. Bradley Beal had 21 points, five rebounds and two steals. Markieff Morris and Jeff Green both added 13 points.
Clippers blow past Rockets
Los Angeles outscored host Houston in every quarter Friday night en route to a 133-113 victory in a matchup of two teams with bad blood from last season. Montrezl Harrell led the way with 30 points 8-of-13 shooting plus 14-of-15 at the free throw line. He also had six rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Lou Williams contributed 23 points and three assists as a reserve. Danilo Gallinari had 16 points and five boards, while Tobias Harris registered 15 points and nine rebounds. Avery Bradley added 14 points and three boards.
NBA Betting Trends
The under is 4-0-1 in the last five Wizards games on Sundays. The Wizards are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings.
The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings in LA. The Clippers are 1-5 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a losing straight up record.
Washington has struggled, but has the talent at least in the backcourt to be a playoff-caliber team like it has been in recent seasons. The absence of Dwight Howard has been big since the Wizards have been historically bad at rebounding to begin the season. As long as Washington cleans some things up here, it should be able to cover the spread against a Clippers team ripe for a letdown after an emotionally charged win at the Rockets.
