Spurs vs. Lakers Prediction
The Los Angeles Lakers are searching for their first win after two losses with LeBron James in the fold. With LA shorthanded after a pair of suspensions following a brawl last game with Houston, can the hosts pick up a win tonight over the San Antonio Spurs?

Spurs thumped in Portland
San Antonio suffered a 121-108 defeat its last game at the Trail Blazers, getting outscored a combined 75-60 in the second and third quarters. DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 28 points on 11-of-22 shooting to go with nine assists, three rebounds and two steals. Bryn Forbes had 17 points, three assists and two rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Rudy Gay also scored 12 to go with seven boards. Davis Bertans had 11 points, four rebounds and two assists off the bench. Pau Gasol had 10 points, four boards and two assists as a reserve.
Brawl highlights Lakers loss to Rockets
The Los Angeles Lakers fell 124-115 at home to Houston with a fight between Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul turning into a brawl. Rondo was hit with a three-game suspension, while Brandon Ingram has been suspended four games by the NBA. Both will miss tonight’s contest. James paced LA with 24 points on 9-of-22 shooting plus five rebounds, five assists and two steals. JaVale McGee contributed 16 points, six boards and five blocked shots. Lonzo Ball had 14 points, six rebounds and four assists off the bench. Rondo registered 13 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds before the ejection. Ingram had 12 points and four boards in 29 minutes before he departed. Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart both scored 11 off the bench. The Lakers were outscored 26-18 in the fourth quarter.
NBA Betting Trends
San Antonio
The Spurs are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 road games. The over is 7-1-1 in the last nine San Antonio road games.
Los Angeles
The Lakers are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. The over is 9-2 in the last 11 meetings.
Prediction:
It will be interesting to see James and Ball play alongside each other, while Kuzma and Lance Stephenson will likely see their minutes boosted with Ingram out. San Antonio has struggled massively on the road dating to last season and I don’t see it changing here. After two straight losses, this is the kind of game where LeBron wills his squad to a victory.
