Timberwolves vs. Thunder Pick
Will the Minnesota Timberwolves cover the spread and possibly win Sunday night at the Oklahoma City Thunder? Game time is 7PM EST.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Thunder are a 4-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 211 points.
Mnnesota is 1-1 on the season after a 100-97 home win Friday night over the Jazz. The Thunder are also 1-1 after they lost 96-87 at the Jazz on Saturday night. Oklahoma City won three of four meetings straight up last year and also covered the spread three times. The total went under three times.
Jamal Crawford scored all 17 of his points off the bench in the fourth quarter Friday night including a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left to clinch it. Karl Anthony-Towns contributed a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins had 21 points and five boards.
In the Thunder’s loss, Carmelo Anthony tallied a game-high 26 points. Paul George recorded 22 points, five assists and five steals. Reigning NBA MVP Russell Westbrook was held to six points, but also had 13 rebounds and nine assists. Oklahoma City trailed by 16 heading into the fourth quarter before trimming the deficit by outscoring the Jazz 30-23 over the final 12 minutes.
Minnesota is 1-4 ATS in its last five meetings to OKC, while the under is 4-1-1 in the last six meetings in Oklahoma City.
Bet on Timberwolves vs. Thunder
The Thunder didn’t look very good Saturday night against the stingy Jazz defense, but return home where they fared very well in their opener versus the Knicks. But the difference here might be the day of rest the Timberwolves had, whereas OKC is playing on a back-to-back with travel. We like Minnesota to cover the spread.
