Denver Nuggets DFS Spin
Nikola Jokic was fantastic during Sunday’s season-extending comeback win, making 13-of-22 shots with four 3-pointers for 34 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block. The Nuggets have fought an uphill battle throughout the playoffs, coming back from a 3-1 deficit vs. the Jazz and now forcing the Clippers to a Game 7 on Tuesday. Their performance in the second half of Sunday’s game was incredible, outscoring the Clips 64-35 to turn a double-digit deficit into an easy lead. Jokic now has five straight double-doubles and it doesn’t seem like L.A. has an answer for his size and skill, especially if he’s hitting 3-pointers. Queue him up in DFS leagues for Tuesday’s must-watch event.
Los Angeles Clippers DFS Spin
The Clippers blew a huge lead in Game 6 on Sunday, despite Paul George racking up 33 points, six rebounds, three assists, five steals and one block. George made 9-of-21 FGs and 11-of-11 FTs, and he went 4-of-9 from deep. Kawhi Leonard added 25/8/5/2/1, but L.A.’s stars got very little help from the other starters with a combined nine points on 3-of-13 shooting from Marcus Morris, Ivica Zubac and Patrick Beverley. They collapsed at both ends in the second half and it remains to be seen if Doc Rivers will alter his starting five in Game 7 — either way, the Clippers have been pushed to their limit.
Nuggets vs. Clippers Game 7 Betting Prediction
The Nuggets have pushed the Clippers to the brink, proving to be a more formidable opponent than anyone thought they’d be. I backed Denver earlier in the series and slowly worked away from them but I’m going back to the Nuggets tonight. They’re 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog against the Clippers and are 3-1-1 at the betting window in their last five games coming off a win. The Clippers, meanwhile, are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games playing on only one day of rest and have dropped four of their last five games overall. The Nuggets should have just enough offense from Jokic and play just enough defense against Kawahi to make L.A. sweat one last time.
