Rockets sign Euro star
HOUSTON, TX (TheSpread) – The Houston Rockets missed out on some key free agents this offseason, but are bringing in a big name from Europe.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Rockets have reached a deal to bring European forward Kostas Papanikolaou to the United States to play for them this upcoming season. Stein reports that the two have reached a two-year deal.
Papanikolaou will help make up for the loss of Chandler Parsons to free agency. He has been part of two Euroleague championship teams and was the No. 48 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. He will look to be another scoring option for Houston alongside Dwight Howard and James Harden.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Houston Rockets have 16/1 odds to win the 2015 NBA Finals. Cleveland is the favorite with 5/2 odds while San Antonio has 4/1 odds.
