Kings win NBA Summer League
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The Sacramento Kings have some hope in their future, as they emerged as champions of the NBA Summer League on Monday.
The Kings defeated the Houston Rockets, 77-68, in Monday’s championship game in the Las Vegas Summer League, which featured a number of league’s young players on a handful of different teams.
In the championship, second-year point guard Ray McCallum had 29 points to lead the Kings to the victory. McCallum was named the MVP of the tournament.
Along with McCallum’s play, Sacramento got 12 points from Ra’shad Jones and 10 points from lottery pick Nik Stauskas.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Sacramento has 250/1 odds to win next season’s NBA Finals, which puts them near the bottom when it comes to teams most likely to win. Cleveland is favored with 3/1 odds while San Antonio has 9/2 odds.
