Jordan admits struggling with decision
LOS ANGELES, CA (The Spread) – DeAndre Jordan admitted Monday that he struggled with the decision on whether or not to sign with the Mavericks or return to the Clippers.
“As everyone knows, I struggled with it,” Jordan told The Players’ Tribune on Monday. “It was nine or 10 days of intense pressure. Every night, I would have a different scenario in my head, of the city and team where I thought I would fit best. I had several meetings with teams and even more conversations with my family and friends. I kept thinking about what it really meant to be home, and I would go back and forth.”
As most know, Jordan verbally agreed to a four-year max deal with the mavericks before making an about-face and re-signing with the Clippers six days later. He signed a four-year max deal worth an estimated $88 million to return to Los Angeles
Surely Mark Cuban feels better knowing that Jordan struggled with the decision to spurn his team. (Okay, maybe not.)
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Clippers are 12/1 to win the 2016 NBA Championship while the Mavericks are 50/1 long shots.
