Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes
Giannis Antetokounmpo went off in a 120-100 Game 3 win against the Suns on Sunday evening, notching 41 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and one steal to put the series at a 2-1 count. He’s called the Greek Freak for a reason, and he now officially joins Shaq and LeBron James as one of only three players in NBA history with 40+ points and 10+ rebounds in back-to-back Finals games. The real story of this game was the Bucks’ dominance in the middle two quarters, during which they outscored Phoenix 73-48 – this included a 30-9 run to end the second quarter and a 16-0 run to end the third, after which they were comfortably up by 22 points. Giannis was in attack-mode all night, his relentlessness highlighted by his 17 free throw attempts (he made 13 of them, which is a step in the right direction). Jrue Holiday had 21 points with five boards and nine dimes and finally shot efficiently (8-of-14 FG, 5-of-10 3PT FG) and Bobby Portis came alive off the bench with 11 points, eight rebounds and a 3-pointer. The Bucks are still alive and will look to even things up in Wednesday’s Game 4.
Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Devin Booker led the Suns to a dominant 2-0 Finals lead in Thursday’s Game 2, scoring 31 points to go with five boards, six assists, seven 3-pointers and three turnovers in 44 minutes. He shot just 4-of-12 in the first half but really turned it on in the second, and he continues to show just how well-rounded his game is quickly becoming with some great defense and facilitating throughout. The 24-year-old is a legend in the making, and is just two wins away from bringing Phoenix its first title in the history of the franchise. For what it’s worth, teams that go up 2-0 in a playoff series go on to win the series 91.9% of the time, but as the late great Kobe Bean Bryant would say, the job’s not finished. Chris Paul had an uncharacteristic six turnovers but was fantastic otherwise with 23 points, four rebounds, eight dimes and a steal in 41 minutes. The Bucks will host the Suns for Sunday’s Game 3, which is basically a must-win for Milwaukee.
