Miami brings back Bosh
MIAMI, FL (TheSpread) – The Miami Heat may have lost LeBron James, but they made a step toward keeping the other Big 2 on Friday.
It was announced after LeBron signed with Cleveland that the Heat agreed to a five-year, $118 million deal with Chris Bosh. ESPN reported the deal, which came as a surprise, as it was believed that Bosh was going to go to Houston if James left Miami.
Along with Bosh returning, Miami is now reportedly making a push to keep Dwyane Wade as well, working on a deal with the long-time Miami guard.
Bosh averaged 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this past season and averaged 14.9 points and 5.6 rebounds in the playoffs. Bosh’s numbers could see a big jump with LeBron leaving Miami.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Miami opened as the favorite to win the NBA Title after the most recent NBA Finals, but the Heat are now listed with 33/1 odds. Cleveland is now the favorite with 7/2 odds while San Antonio has 9/2 odds.
