LeBron is going back to Cleveland
CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The Cleveland Cavaliers are rejoicing today as LeBron James has decided to return home to play for the team that drafted him next season.
After leaving Cleveland in 2010 for Miami, there was a lot of backlash for James, including a scathing letter from Cavs’ owner Dan Gilbert. In his four season with Miami, James won a pair of NBA titles, but it was clear that Miami’s roster was getting older.
Cleveland has had the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft three of the last four years and had the money to bring James back to go along with a young and talented roster. James buried the hatchet with Gilbert and announced in an essay to Sports Illustrated that he wanted to return home to bring a title to Cleveland.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cleveland has immediately jumped up to the favorite to win the NBA title, as it has 4/1 odds to win. San Antonio comes in with 5/1 odds while Miami falls to 50/1.
