Lee reportedly traded to Celtics
BOSTON, MA (The Spread) – David Lee has reportedly been traded to the Celtics in exchange for Gerald Wallace, who will join Steve Kerr and the Warriors in Oakland.
Marc Stein of ESPN Tweeted the news on Tuesday afternoon. Lee was mentioned in trade rumors last week, as the Knicks and Lakers were reportedly attempting to trade for the 32-year-old. While Boston’s frontcourt is crowded with the addition of Lee, the center/forward is still a solid offensive player.
Meanwhile, the Warriors land a veteran player in Wallace, whom they reportedly plan to keep. It’s doubtful he makes a huge impact but it’s a nice landing spot for a player that may retire following the 2015-16 season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Warriors are 5/1 to repeat as NBA champions while the Celtics are 66/1 long shots to win it all next season. The current favorites to win next year’s NBA Finals are the Cavs, who are currently 11/4.
