(The Spread) – Will Trey Burke win the 2013-14 NBA Rookie of the Year? The odds currently favor the former Michigan product.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Burke is currently a 4/1 favorite to win next season’s NBA Rookie of the Year. Victor Oladipo has the next best odds at 11/2, while CJ McCollum and Otto Porter are both 15/2, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, Michael Carter-Williams is 9/1 to win the Rookie of the Year Award next season, while Anthony Bennett and Ben McLemore are both 10/1, respectively. Cody Zeller, meanwhile, is 12/1 while Alex Len, Kelly Olynyk and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are all 14/1, respectively.

Some of the long shots to win next year’s award are Shabazz Muhammad at 15/1, while Shane Larkin is 16/1 and Sergey Karasev and Tim Hardaway Jr. are both 25/1, respectively. The two players with the longest odds to win are Nerlens Noel and Dennis Schroeder, who are both 33/1, respectively.

Bennett was the surprise top selection of the Cleveland Cavaliers in this year’s draft. Oladipo went second overall to the Magic while Porter was selected by the Wizards with the third overall pick. Zeller went to the Bobcats, Len went to the Suns and Noel was drafted by the Pelicans with the sixth overall pick. McLemore, Caldwell-Pope, Burke and McCollum rounded out the top 10.

A guard has won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in four of the last four seasons. Damian Lillard of the Blazers won the award last year and Kyrie Irving won it the year before. Prior to Blake Griffin taking home the hardware in 2010-11, Tyreke Evans and Derrick Rose won in 2009-10 and 2008-09, respectively.
