Atlanta Hawks DFS Notes
Trae Young (right foot bone bruise) is questionable for Game 5 in Milwaukee on Thursday. Young and Clint Capela (eye) traveled with the team but are still listed as questionable. There’s optimism that Capela will play through inflammation in his eye, but we’re in the dark about Young and aren’t likely to know more until he tests the foot during shootaround. A bone bruise isn’t something that heals in a few days, so this could boil down to a question of mobility and pain tolerance for Trae. If he’s out, expect another heavy dose of Lou Williams, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter as primary table-setters.
Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes
Giannis Antetokounmpo (left knee hyper-extension) has no structural damage and his “ligaments are sound,” according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Milwaukee can breathe a huge sigh of relief. Giannis’ return timetable is “unclear,” according to Woj, but ruling out a torn ACL is fantastic news after he awkwardly went down during Game 4. We’ll list him as ‘doubtful’ for Game 5 given the seeming severity of the hyper-extension, but it shouldn’t take long until the Bucks offer some details. If Giannis does miss time with the ailment, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday will carry the offense against a Hawks team that’s also navigating a superstar’s injury. Bobby Portis also stands to gain a ton of appeal as a DFS target.
