Game 5 of the NBA Finals features the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Miami Heat at 9PM ET, with the series tied 2-2. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Miami is the favorite on the road in Game 5, as the Heat have odds of -1.5 points against the Spurs. The over/under total for the game has been set at 187.5 points. When it comes to players in this game, the focus for Game 5 will be on Dwayne Wade and Manu Ginobili.

Wade had his best game of the Finals in Game 4, dropping in 32 points while picking up six rebounds and six steals. He was 14 of 25 shooting and the real catalyst behind Miami’s sizeable victory. For Game 5, Wade has been given over/under odds of 23.5 points+assists. Wade has averaged 15.1 points and 4.7 assists in the playoffs and 18.75 points and 4.25 assists in the Finals. The key for Wade hitting the 24 is in scoring. If he plays like he did in Game 4, he should be able to score at least 20 points, leaving him to have to get a few assists. Wade has only had three 20-point performances in these playoffs.

Ginobili had another disappointing showing in Game 5, as he had five points on 1 of 5 shooting. He has been struggling in the finals scoring just 30 total points in four games while shooting 10 of 29 from the floor and 3 of 16 from 3-point land. For Game 5, Ginobili has been given over/under odds of 14.5 points+assists. Ginobili is averaging 10.6 points and 4.8 assists, both numbers that are better than his average of 7.5 points and 3 assists in the NBA Finals. Head coach Greg Popovich has been befuddled by Ginobili’s struggles in this series, but San Antonio will need him to step up tonight if it hopes to win.
