Durant pours in 38 in loss
Many of the Warriors struggled in Game 2, but small forward Kevin Durant was his usual self as he poured in 38 points on 13-of-22 shooting. He connected on 3-of-7 3-pointers while also pulling down three rebounds. Steph Curry was the next-leading scorer as he scored 16, but shot only 7-of-19 from the field. Durant was still a team-worst minus-28 when he was on the floor, while Curry wasn't much better at minus-20. The Warriors as a team shot 45 percent, but could only hit 9-of-30 3-pointers.
Tucker comes up big
Rockets small forward P.J. Tucker is known more for his defensive prowess and energy, but he put in a big effort on the offensive end in the 127-105 Game 2 win as he scored 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting. He was cooking from 3-point range as he made five of six attempts. Additionally, he grabbed seven rebounds while dishing out four assists and recording a steal. James Harden and Eric Gordon led Houston with 27 points apiece, while Trevor Ariza added 19.
NBA Betting Trends
The Rockets are 27-17 ATS in road games this season. Houston is 11-3 ATS in road games after scoring 115 points the previous game.
The Warriors are 18-27 ATS in home games this season. Golden State is 39-52 ATS in all games this season.
Houston looked impressive and focused in Game 2, while the Warriors have been overpriced most of the season. It seems like eight points is a few too many here and I'm planning on taking advantage of it with a bet on the Rockets.
