Bucks take 2-0 lead
Milwaukee took a 2-0 lead in the series on Friday thanks to a 125-103 victory at home. The Bucks are now 10-1 overall and against the spread in the postseason. Milwaukee is 70-23 on the season, 31-14 on the road, 57-32-4 against the spread and 48-45 with the over.
The Bucks continue to win despite not shooting to their best standards. They were 43 of 92 from the field and 13 of 41 from the arc in Game 2. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 30 points with 17 rebounds and five assists to lead the way in the win. The Milwaukee bunch was very productive, as Ersan Ilyasova, George Hill and Malcolm Brogdon all had at least 13 points and combined for nine assists.
Raptors can’t keep up
Toronto was unable to keep up with the Milwaukee offense, falling behind from the opening tip in Game 2 and suffering the 22-point loss. The Raptors have failed to cover in four straight. Toronto is now 66-30 on the season, 37-11 at home, 44-52 against the spread and 48-45-3 with the over.
The Raptors struggled shooting in Game 2, going just 37-87 from the field and 10-32 from 3-point land. They also were out-rebounded 53-40. Kawhi Leonard had another great game, scoring 31 points with eight rebounds. However, his supporting cast couldn’t produce. Kyle Lowry had just 15 points on 4 of 13 shooting. Pascal Siakam only had eight points with one rebound.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 20-6-1 against the spread in their last 27 road games and 37-13-2 ATS in their last 52 conference games.
Toronto
The Raptors are just 1-7 against the spread in their last eight against Central Division opponents and 0-4 ATS in their last four conference finals games.
Prediction:
The Bucks have had control of this series and they haven’t been at their best yet. While they played very well in Game 2, they still didn’t shoot their best. Toronto is a good defensive team, but even the Raptors can’t contend with Milwaukee’s scoring depth and ability to get open looks. Toronto just doesn’t have the scorers to match the Bucks, even at home. I think Milwaukee continues its dominant run tonight.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks +2
