According to oddsmakers, the Raptors are the slight road favorite tonight, as they are getting odds of -2 points against the 76ers. The over/under total for the game is listed at 213 points. The public betting for the contest has 70 percent going on Toronto as the road favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Raptors take control

Toronto took a 3-2 lead in the series on Tuesday with a 125-89 thrashing of the Raptors at home in Game 5. Toronto has won and covered in the last two games of the series. The Raptors are 65-27 on the season, 29-16 on the road, 44-48 against the spread and 46-43-3 with the over.

The Raptors dominated Tuesday’s game, just playing sound on both sides of the floor. Toronto was 40 of 82 shooting, including 16 of 40 from the arc, while committing just 10 turnovers. Kawhi Leonard had been dominant this series, but took a step back in Game 5 to let his teammates step up. He still had 21 points and 13 rebounds, but Pascal Siakam had 25 points with eight rebounds and Kyle Lowry had 19 points with six rebounds and five assists.

76ers looking lost

Philadelphia has dropped the last two games in the series and the 76ers were soundly beaten throughout Game 5 in Toronto. The 76ers are 57-35 on the season, 34-12 at home, 44-48 against the spread and 46-46 with the over/under total.

The 76ers are pretty clearly a team that needs Joel Embiid to play well in order to win these big games. On Tuesday, he was still dealing with the impact of this respiratory illness and it showed. He had just 13 points and six rebounds while turning the ball over eight times. As a team, Philly had 19 turnovers with just 19 assists. They were 6 of 24 from the arc and 33 of 79 from the field. Jimmy Butler led the team with 22 points and seven assists.

NBA Betting Trends

Toronto

The Raptors are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following a win and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games.

Philadelphia

The 76ers are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 conference semifinal games, but 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss.

Prediction:

The 76ers have been pretty good at bouncing back from losses, but that wasn’t the case in Game 5. Philly looked lost and humbled in Tuesday’s game. Embiid just isn’t at 100 percent. The illness and knee injury seem to have taken a lot of steam and confidence out of him. Philadelphia just can’t compete with Toronto without him playing well. The Raptors had their role players gain confidence on Tuesday and I think that will be a problem tonight. Philly has no answer for Leonard, so if he is getting support, then Philly won’t get past tonight.

NBA Prediction: Toronto Raptors -2
