Rockets even things up
Houston managed to even up this series at 2-2 thanks to a 112-108 win over the Warriors on Monday night in Game 4. Houston is now 59-32 overall, 23-22 on the road, 46-42-3 against the spread and 46-42-3 with the under.
The Rockets didn’t shoot terribly well, but got off 50 3-point attempts in the Game-4 win on Monday. They were 17 of 50 from the arc and 39 of 89 from the field. James Harden continued to shine, as he put up 38 points with 10 rebounds and four assists while Eric Gordon had 20 points despite shooting just 6 of 17 from the field. P.J. Tucker added 17 points with 10 rebounds.
Warriors struggling
Golden State hasn’t been able to shoot the ball well for most of this series and that was the case in a Game-4 loss to fall to the Rockets again. The Warriors are now 63-29 overall, 33-13 at home, 39-52-1 against the spread and 47-44-1 with the under.
The Warriors are just not shooting well from the arc in this series. Game 4 saw them go 8 of 33 as a team. Kevin Durant is doing what he can. He put up 34 points with seven rebounds and five assists. Stephen Curry had 30 points and eight assists, but was just 4 of 14 from the arc. He is 12 of 46 from the arc in this series. Klay Thompson was just 5 of 15 shooting with 11 points on Monday.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The Rockets are 9-2 in their last 11 games following a win and 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 conference games.
Golden State
The Warriors are 11-23-1 ATS in their last 35 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven conference games.
Prediction:
The Rockets are 3-1 against the spread in this series and the Warriors just don’t look like the team we have seen in previous years. Their shooting is missing and their defense isn’t good enough to overcome that. If Thompson and Curry can’t get on track at home, then this is likely going to see Houston get the upset in the series. The Rockets will find ways to score, just by their sheer amount of 3-point attempts. They didn’t even shoot all that well in Monday’s win. I don’t expect Curry to really find his shot tonight. His finger is an issue and it’s not going away. I look for Houston to keep this game tight and possibly get the win outright.
