Boston Celtics DFS Notes
Jayson Tatum shot 10-of-20 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 109-86 win over the Bucks, finishing with 29 points, three rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and one block, and five 3-pointers in 43 minutes. Tatum got off to a relatively slow start in Game 2, shooting just 2-of-3 from the field in the first quarter. But that was largely due to his willingly taking a back seat as Jaylen Brown went off, scoring 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field. Tatum would do a bit more offensively as the game progressed, bouncing back from a subpar performance in Boston’s Game 1 loss on Sunday. Now both teams will get some extra time off, as Game 3 won’t be played until Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes
Giannis Antetokounmpo played 38 minutes in Tuesday’s 109-86 loss to the Celtics, scoring 28 points (11-of-27 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs), nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one blocked shot, and one 3-pointer. Tuesday wasn’t a complete disaster for DFS players who rostered Antetokounmpo, as he did finish with a decent point total and full stat line. But he needed 27 shots to score those 28 points, and the reigning NBA Finals MVP was also responsible for a game-high six turnovers on the night. Boston used Grant Williams to defend Antetokounmpo for most of the night, and he was able to use his strength in order to keep Giannis from getting to his preferred spots on a consistent basis. Expect the Celtics to stick with the matchup as the series shifts to Milwaukee for Game 3 on Saturday.
