Blazers unable to take command
Portland had a chance to take a 3-1 series lead at home on Sunday, but suffered a 116-112 loss to the Nuggets to even the series at 2-2. The Blazers are 59-32 on the season, 23-22 on the road, 49-41-1 against the spread and 48-41-2 with the over.
The Blazers didn’t shoot poorly in Game 4, but they couldn’t get enough stops. Portland was 39 of 82 from the field and 12 of 28 from the arc. Damian Lillard put up 28 points and seven assists on 9 of 22 shooting while CJ McCollum had 29 points and five rebounds on 10 of 20 shooting. Al-Farouq Aminu had 19 points and eight rebounds with two blocks.
Nuggets bounce back
Denver bounced back from a four-OT loss at Portland in Game 3 to take Game 4, 116-112 on Sunday and even the series at 2-2. The win moves Denver to 60-33 on the season. The Nuggets are 38-9 at home this year, 48-45 against the spread and 51-41-1 with the under.
The Nuggets really had an impressive showing following the four-OT road game just two nights prior. Nikola Jokic played 65 minutes in the loss and still bounced back with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists over 39 minutes in Game 4. Jokic got some big support form Jamal Murray, who put up 34 points on 10 of 20 shooting. Paul Millsap added 21 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. The Nuggets finished 11 of 25 from the arc in the win and 25 of 28 from the free-throw line.
NBA Betting Trends
Portland
The Blazers are 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 Tuesday games and 4-10 in their last 14 conference semifinal games.

Prediction:
All four games has been pretty competitive. The largest margin of victory thus far has been eight. Denver did manage to cover in both games at Portland and I think they will cover tonight at home. The Nuggets have been able to find some openings in the Portland defense and spread the ball around a little better. Portland is definitely reliant on their guards and can’t win if Lillard and McCollum struggle. The Nuggets can get a boost defensively at home, making it harder for those guards to score.
NBA Prediction: Denver Nuggets -4.5
