(TheSpread) – The Miami Heat look to continue their march toward another NBA title when they face the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Heat are the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference while the Nets are the No. 6 seed. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Miami is the clear favorite to win this series, as the Heat have odds of -550 to win, while the Nets have a money line of +420.

Miami went 54-28 this season, winning the Southeast Division. The Heat were 32-9 at home, 22-19 on the road and 34-18 in conference play. Miami averaged 102.2 points per game on offense this season while allowing 97.4 points per contest defensively. The Heat disposed of the Charlotte Bobcats in four games to advance to this round.

The Nets went 44-38 this season, finishing second to Miami in the Atlantic Division. The Nets were 28-13 at home and 16-25 on the road. Brooklyn was also 26-26 in conference play and averaged 98.5 points per game on offense while allowing 99.5 points per contest. The point differential of -1 is the worst of any playoff team. The Nets needed seven games, but ultimately beat the Toronto Raptors in the first round.

These two teams met four times during the regular season, with each team winning twice, once at home and once on the road. The Nets have won six of their last 10 meetings with the Heat and the two hit the over in three of their four season meetings.
