Golden State Warriors DFS Notes
Stephen Curry went 8-of-20 from the field and 3-of-4 at the stripe for 24 points, three rebounds, four assists, five triples, one block and just one turnover across 37 minutes in Sunday’s Game 1 win over Memphis. Curry missed a wide-open 3 with under a minute left that would have put the Warriors on top, but he made up for it by blocking Ja Morant’s shot on the following possession, and then Klay Thompson came back and hit a dagger 3-pointer with 30 seconds left to put the Dubs’ up for good. Sea Captain Klay finished with 15 points (6-of-19 FG, 0-of-2 FT), one rebound, three assists, three triples, two steals and one block over 31 turnover-less minutes in the one-point, Game 1 victory over Memphis.
Memphis Grizzlies DFS Notes
Ja Morant fell one rebound shy of securing a triple-double in Sunday’s Game 1 loss to the Warriors, as he finished with 34 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds, four triples, three steals and three turnovers in 38 minutes. Morant seriously struggled from distance during Memphis’ First Round series, going just 4-of-20 from 3-point territory, but today he opened the game with back-to-back triples to give the Grizzlies their first six points of the game, so it appears he’s snapped out of his long-range funk. He did go down hard while skying for a rebound early in the first quarter and seemed to land right on his tailbone, and while he was able to play through it, he’ll likely be very sore tomorrow morning so don’t be surprised if he skips practice.
