Blazers vs. Warriors Game 1 Pick
The Golden State Warriors, without Stephen Curry, begin their conference semifinal series with the Portland Trail Blazers today at 3:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Golden State is favored at home, as the Warriors are getting odds of -8.5 points against the Blazers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 209.5 points.
Golden State is 77-10 on the season, 42-2 at home and 49-36-2 against the spread. Portland is 48-40 overall, 17-27 on the road and 47-41 against the spread. These two met four times during the season, with the Warriors winning three of the four meetings. The Warriors are 7-1 against the spread in their last 8 against the Blazers.
The Warriors enter the series without Curry for at least a week or so. The Blazers are coming off a series win over the Clippers thanks to injuries to Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Portland is a tough team, but the Warriors are still quite a talented group even without Curry. They were still able to hand Houston without Curry and should be able to ride the momentum of being at home to a win and a cover.
