Antetokounmpo win it on tip-in
The Bucks blew a 20-point lead at home in Game 4 against the Celtics, but managed to win 104-102 on a Giannis Antetokounmpo tip with five seconds remaining in regulation. Antetokounmpo paced Milwaukee with 27 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists as the series is now 2-2 moving back to Boston. The Bucks shot 52.1 percent from the floor and led 51-35 at halftime, but fell apart enough in the second half to allow the Celtics to nearly steal the victory. Khris Middleton added 23 points, while Jabari Parker scored 16 off the bench.
Henson, Smart upgraded to questionable
Milwaukee center John Henson has missed the last two games with a sore back, but after being initially listed as doubtful for those two contests he is now questionable for tonight’s Game 5. Henson averaged 8.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks during the regular season. He had played 37 minutes in each of the first two games this series, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four assists in Game 2. Boston point guard Marcus Smart has been out since suffering a thumb injury on March 11 in a game he canned six 3-pointers en route to 20 points to go with eight assists and seven rebounds in a 99-97 home loss against Indiana. His return would provide valuable depth to the Celtics backcourt, but he is likely to have a strict minutes limit in his first game or two back. Smart averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds during the regular season.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The over is 10-1-1 in the last 12 meetings in Boston. The Bucks are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings.
Boston
The over is 13-3-1 in the last 17 meetings. The over is 4-0 in the last four Celtics games following an ATS win.
Prediction:
Boston is still 53-31-2 ATS this season which was bolstered by an incredible run of covering spreads early in the season. But after a last-second loss last game, I expect the Celtics to bounce back strong at home especially if Smart can return and make an impact. Look for Boston to build off its great second half in Game 4.
