Magic drop third straight
Orlando suffered a third consecutive loss, falling 107-85 in Game 4 at home on Sunday. The Magic have scored under 95 points in each of the last three games. Orlando is 43-43 overall, 18-25 on the road, 47-38-1 against the spread and 48-38 with the under.
The Magic continue to struggle offensively in this series. On Sunday, they were just 7 of 33 from the arc and 34 for 81 from the field. They also committed 17 turnovers. Nikola Vucevic was really limited, scoring just 11 points and pulling down only five rebounds. Aaron Gordon led the team with 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Evan Fournier had 19 points and four rebounds.
Raptors look to close out series
Toronto went up 3-1 in the series with the win in Game 4 on Sunday. The Raptors covered the spread for the second time in the series. Toronto is now 61-25 on the season, 33-10 at home, 40-46 against the spread and 44-39-3 with the over.
The Raptors had a strong day from the field in Game 4, shooting 40 of 75 from the floor and 11 of 28 from the arc. Kawhi Leonard had another strong game, scoring 34 points with six rebounds. Pascal Siakam added 16 points and six rebounds while Norman Powell scored 16 points off the bench.
NBA Betting Trends
The Magic are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five following a loss.
The Raptors are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games playing on 1 day of rest and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 conference games.
This series have flip-flopped from competitive to non-competitive games. Toronto rolled on Sunday, so I think today’s game will be more competitive. Orlando still has a pretty good defense and the Magic know they need to keep the score low in order to win. Given their season is at stake, I would expect a little more energy from the Magic, especially early. Toronto is at home and feeling comfortable after a big win, so I could see them being a little lackluster and relying on their superior talent in the fourth quarter. I just feel the Raptors are giving up too many points tonight.
