Pistons vs. Cavaliers Game 2 Pick
The Cleveland Cavaliers hope to have an easier time with the Detroit Pistons when they meet up in Game 2 of their series tonight at 8PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cleveland is the heavy favorite at home, as the Cavaliers are getting odds of -10 points against the Pistons. The over/under total for the game has been set at 201 points. Cleveland holds a 1-0 lead in the series.
Cleveland is now 58-25 on the season, 34-8 at home and 37-43-3 against the spread. Detroit is 44-39 overall, 18-24 on the road and 43-38-2 against the spread. Cleveland was able to take Game 1 of the series, 106-101, but the Pistons covered an 11-point spread. The Pistons have now covered in four of the five meetings with Cleveland this season.
Detroit gave Cleveland all it could handle in Game 1. The Pistons were up by 7 points entering the fourth quarter before Cleveland surged over the final stretch to win. The problem for Detroit is they shot the lights out and still lost. The Pistons were 51 percent from 3-point land in the game and shot 61 percent in the first half. Meanwhile, Cleveland was just 12 of 35 from 3-point land in a winning effort. Detroit isn’t likely to shoot that well again and Cleveland can certainly shoot better. Cleveland also showed composure at the end of Game 1 that is lacking from the Pistons. That should be a factor tonight as well.
