Will Pistons go for broke in Cleveland?
Nothing is at stake, but will the Detroit Pistons try to send a message to the Cleveland Cavaliers before their playoff series when they meet tonight at 8PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Cleveland is favored is at home, as the Cavaliers are getting odds of -2 points against the Pistons. The over/under total for the game has been set at 194.5 points.
Cleveland is 57-24 overall, 33-7 at home and 37-41-3 against the spread. Detroit is 43-38 overall, 17-23 on the road and 41-38-2 against the spread. These two have met three times this season, with Detroit winning and covering the spread in two of the three meetings.
There is nothing at stake in this game and these two will meet in the first round of the playoffs this weekend. Cleveland is resting its big three while the Pistons are without Reggie Jackson. Will Detroit put any effort toward winning, or will it try to shield its strategy and playbook? Cleveland obviously will be using its bench, which likely means it shouldn’t be able to beat Detroit. Look for the Pistons to try and build some momentum for the series and take a second win in Cleveland.
