Thunder rally past Rockets
Oklahoma City rallied late for a 112-111 win at home over Houston last night. The Thunder have won four straight games, going 3-1 against the spread in the process. OKC is 48-33 overall, 21-19 on the road, 41-40 against the spread and 41-39-1 with the under. The Thunder can lock up the sixth seed in the West with a win tonight, but can still fall down to eighth if they lose tonight and the Clippers and Spurs both win.
The Thunder are putting up 114.3 points per game on offense while shooting 45.3 percent from the field. Defensively, OKC is giving up 111 points per game while opponents shoot 46 percent against them. Russell Westbrook is averaging 23.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 10.7 rebounds per game this season while Paul George is adding 28 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest.
Bucks own top seed in East
Milwaukee owns the top seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs and the Bucks are coming off a 115-107 win at home over Atlanta on Sunday. They are 60-21 on the season, 33-7 at home, 47-30-4 against the spread and 41-40 with the over.
The Bucks have the league’s top offense, averaging 118.1 points per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field. Defensively, Milwaukee is giving up 109 points per game while holding opponents to a league-low 43.2 percent shooting. The Bucks will be holding out Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez tonight while Malcolm Brodgon and Nikola Mirotic are both out with injuries. Giannis is averaging 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game this season while Khris Middleton is putting up 18.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last four games on no rest.
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games against Western Conference opponents and 6-1-2 ATS in their last nine games when playing on two days of rest.
Prediction:
The Thunder picked up a huge win last night over the Rockets and have a tough turnaround to travel to Milwaukee tonight. The Bucks aren’t bringing their best, so the Thunder should be able to handle being a road favorite. OKC hasn’t been the most consistent team the last month, but I still feel like they are too good to let this game get away from them. They don’t want to risk falling to the 8 seed and having to face the Warriors in the first round.
NBA Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder -4.5
