Warriors vs. Spurs Prediction
After rallying late Saturday to give themselves a chance at history, the Warriors will take on the Spurs at 7:00PM ET tonight at the AT&T Center in what should be another fantastic battle.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Warriors are 5.5-point road underdogs versus the Spurs, who opened as 4.5-point favorites for tonight's game. As for the total, the number now sits at 204.5, down from the opening number of 206.
Gregg Popovich told reporters on Friday night versus Denver that his plan for tonight's game against the Warriors was to not rest starters. The Spurs will play their full roster of healthy players after many of their starters rested two nights ago in a narrow loss to the Nuggets.
The Warriors are in pursuit of the NBA record for wins in a single season at 73 and had to rally to register their 71st win on Saturday night in a victory over the Grizzlies. Fatigue could be an issue tonight for Golden State as coach Steve Kerr continues to grapple with the idea of resting his own starters to get ready for the daunting postseason run.
The favorite is 5-0 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams, as is the home team. The Warriors are also just 8-20 against the spread in their last 28 games in San Antonio, where the Spurs have literally been unbeatable this season (39-0).
