Suns vs. Clippers NBA Prediction

Suns vs. Clippers, 4/8/21 NBA Fantasy News & Betting Predictions

The second game of TNT’s NBA double header should be a great one, as the Clippers will host the Suns at 10:00 p.m. ET from STAPLES Center in L.A. Following a game against the Jazz on Wednesday night, are the Suns a good fade candidate for bettors on Thursday?

Devin Booker went 13-of-31 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line for 35 points over 44 minutes in Wednesday's OT win over the Jazz. Booked added four rebounds, three assists and one steal while he was out there, but he also bricked all six of his triples and committed and unfortunate six turnovers in the win. This was just the fourth game of the season that Booker brought donuts to the 3-point category, but we doubt that will continue on Thursday vs. the Clippers. Deandre Ayton double-doubled in the OT win with 18 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals, three swats and two turnovers in 42 minutes.

Paul George (toe) hit 11-of-18 shots, six 3-pointers and 8-of-8 free throws for 36 points, three rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in 34 minutes of Tuesday's 133-116 win over the Blazers. Now that's more like it! PG-13 had scored just 16 and 17 points in his previous two games and this was his first 30-point performance since March 2. He's (clearly) been bothered by a toe injury but appeared to be feeling much better tonight. Hopefully, the toe injury is becoming a thing of the past and George will continue to ball out going forward. The Clippers are hot, winners of two straight and 10 of their last 13 and are going to need a fully healthy George if they're going to win it all this year. Kawhi Leonard added 29 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Suns vs. Clippers Betting Prediction

The Suns are just 1-8 in their last nine meetings with the Clippers in L.A. and are 3-10 at the betting window in their last 13 games in this series. The Clippers are also 8-2 in their last 10 games against the spread, are 8-2 against the number in their last 10 home games and have covered in seven of their last nine games as a home favorite.
