Cavaliers vs. 76ers Pick
Are the host Philadelphia 76ers going to secure a 13th consecutive victory tonight when they are a small favorite over the Cleveland Cavaliers? Game time is set for 7PM ET.
507 Cleveland Cavaliers at 508 Philadelphia 76ers, 7PM ET
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Sixers are a 3.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 224 points.
Philadelphia opened as a 3-point favorite before the line went up slightly, while the total has gone up two points after opening at 222. The 76ers are a 3.5-point favorite almost everywhere, but shopping around can get you the line at -3. The over-under is all over the place from 222.5 at some sportsbooks up to 224 at others.
As of Friday afternoon, 57 percent of public bets are siding with the host Sixers. Online wager info also shows that 54 percent of bets are coming in on the over.
INJURY TO WATCH
Cleveland point guards George Hill (ankle) and Jose Calderon (hamstring) are both questionable to play tonight. For Philadelphia, small forward Dario Saric (elbow) is questionable. Center Joel Embiid (face) is out until late April. Shooting guard Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (knee) is out indefinitely.
The 76ers have been on a tear despite the absence of Embiid, pushing their win streak to 12 games with a 115-108 victory at the Pistons. Philadelphia trails the Cavs by a half-game in the race for the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Sixers have four games remaining, while Cleveland is down to three games left. Needless to say, this is a big game. Even though Philly does benefit by Cleveland having played last night with a 119-115 home win over the Wizards, I expect LeBron James to rise to the occasion again tonight as he wills his team to another strong performance. This will finally be the game where the 76ers sorely miss Embiid.
