Thunder vs. Grizzlies Pick

NBA Predictions: Will the Thunder upset the Grizzlies in Memphis? 4/5/17

Following a game last night, will the Oklahoma City Thunder have much in the tank when they hit the road to face the Memphis Grizzlies tonight at 8PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at, the Grizzlies are the slight favorite at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Thunder. The over/under total for the game is listed at 202 points. The home team has won and covered the spread in all three meeting this season.

Oklahoma City is coming off a 110-79 win over the Bucks last night at home to improve to 44-33 on the season. The Thunder have a 2.5-game edge on the Grizzlies for the sixth spot in the West. OKC is 2.5 behind the Clippers for the fifth spot. The Thunder are 42-34-1 against the spread on the season, but just 2-4 ATS in their last six. OKC is averaging 106.9 points per game on offense while allowing 105.8 on defense. However, on the road, OKC puts up 103.8 on offense and allows 108.4 on defense. Russell Westbrook is leading the team with 31.6 points, 10.7 points and 10.4 assists per game. He recorded his 41st triple-double last night.

Memphis is coming off a 95-89 OT loss at San Antonio last night to fall to 42-36 on the season. The Grizz have still managed to cover in three of their last four games to move to 40-38 against the spread on the season. Memphis now averages just 100.7 points per game on offense while allowing 100.1 on defense. When at home, the Grizz put up 99.6 on offense while allowing just 97. Mike Conley has been leading the team with 20.5 points and 6.4 assists per game. He is dealing with an eye injury, but expected to play tonight.

Bet on Thunder vs. Grizzlies

Both team played last night, but the Grizzlies had to go to overtime and play against the Spurs. OKC was able to have a relatively easy night against the Bucks at home, so that should give the Thunder a little extra juice tonight. Westbrook is playing on another level right now, and can single-handedly take over a game. I expect Westbrook to get triple-double No. 42 and push OKC to the slight upset.
