Hornets vs. Raptors Prediction
The Charlotte Hornets will look to pull off the upset tonight in Toronto when they visit the Raptors at 7:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Raptors are 5.5-point home favorites over the Hornets while the over/under is sitting at 202 points. Charlotte enters play tonight having won seven of its last 10 games while Toronto is 6-4 over its last 10 contests.
Al Jefferson is question tonight with a quad injury that kept him out on Sunday. Nicolas Batum is also questionable with a strained left knee that he suffered on Sunday and did not return. If he can't play, Jeremy Lin and Jeremy Lamb will have more minutes tonight versus the Raptors.
Even though the Hornets are a little banged up, Kemba Walker has been excellent as the team makes a playoff push. He finished with 29 points, six rebounds, seven assists, four steals, one block and one 3-pointer in Charlotte's 112-103 loss to Cleveland over the weekend. Marvin Williams was also good in that contest, hitting 8-of-11 shots with four 3-pointers to finish with 20 points.
Charlotte has covered the spread in 11 of its last 14 games in Toronto and the Hornets are 20-6 at the betting window in their last 26 games versus the Raptors. The underdog has cashed an impressive 12 times for bettors in the last 17 meetings between these two teams and should hit again tonight.
