Bucks, Magic set for major shootout?
Two suddenly scorching offensive attacks collide tonight, with an 8 p.m. ET tip in the Badger State between the Bucks and Magic.
Neither team carries playoff aspirations as the regular campaign winds down, but recent results have grabbed oddsmakers’ attention. Online sports book Bovada.lv likes the host squad as a 2.5-point favorite here. Meanwhile, the over/under total rests at 208.
Orlando (32-43) surpassed 110 points and shot at least 53 percent for the third straight contest Thursday in a 114-94 pounding of postseason hopeful Indiana. Nikola Vucevic scored 24 in his first action since March 4. No longer hobbled by a strained groin, the center offers a nice complement to guard Elfrid Payton’s (22 points in November’s triumph against Milwaukee) slashing sensibilities.
The Bucks (31-44) put on their own show two nights ago. With a 105-94 victory over Phoenix, Jason Kidd’s crew snapped a prolonged losing skid. Jabari Parker (four steals) and company forced 24 turnovers and held the Suns to 20.8 percent shooting from deep.

Scott Skiles’ club has prevailed just once in its last seven trips to the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Still, numerous cracks exist in Milwaukee’s defensive foundation. The Bucks permitted an average of 109.7 points in the final three of five consecutive defeats in March. Look for the Magic to top 110 for the fourth game in a row for the first time since 1995.
