Mavericks fall again

Dallas is coming off a 105-99 loss at Miami on Thursday for their fifth loss in six games. The Mavericks are 29-46 on the season, 7-31 on the road, 40-32-3 against the spread and 41-33-1 with the under. Dallas is out of the playoff picture.

The Mavs are putting up 108.5 points per game on offense while shooting 44.7 percent from the field. Defensively, Dallas is giving up 110.1 points per game while opponents shoot 46.1 percent from the field. Luka Doncic is listed as questionable to play today due to a thigh injury. Doncic averages 21.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Thunder fall at home

Oklahoma City suffered a 115-105 loss at home to the Denver Nuggets on Friday for their sixth loss in eight games. OKC is now 44-32 on the season, 24-13 at home, 38-38 against the spread and 38-37-1 with the under. OKC secured a playoff spot last night when the Kings lost to the Rockets, but they are tied for the seventh spot in the West with San Antonio.

The Thunder are putting up 114.1 points per game on offense this season while shooting 45.3 percent from the field. Defensively, OKC is giving up 111 points per game while opponents shoot 46 percent from the floor. Paul George is leading the team with 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while Russell Westbrook is adding 23.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 10.4 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Dallas

The Mavericks are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six road games and 22-8 ATS in their last 30 division games.

Oklahoma City

The Thunder are just 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 home games and 2-11 ATS in their last 13 conference games.

Prediction:

OKC is just not clicking right now. The Thunder aren’t able to find their groove on offense and defense and it’s led to a lot of bad losses and poor performances. Dallas is pretty beat up and lacking in much talent right now, but it’s just hard for me to see the Thunder winning by such a big spread. Oklahoma City has little momentum to trust them to pull this off.

NBA Prediction: Dallas Mavericks +12
