Timberwolves vs. Mavericks Prediction
Will the Minnesota Timberwolves cover the point spread tonight when they visit the Dallas Mavericks at 8:30 p.m. ET?
Friday, March 30, 2018
TV: N/A, 8:30 p.m. ET
The Timberwolves opened as 4.5-point road favorites but the line jumped to 5.5 at the majority of online sportsbooks, while the total hit the board at 216.5 and that's where it currently sits.
As of this writing, 73% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Timberwolves to cover the point spread tonight. Meanwhile, 80% of the betting tickets are on the under.
KEY INJURY TO WATCH
Jimmy Butler (knee) remains out for the Timberwolves while Derrick Rose (Ankle) and Cole Aldrich (illness) are both questionable. On the other side, Dirk Nowitzki is (knee) is probable but Wesley Matthews (leg) is out.
The Timberwolves are just 3-6-1 against the spread over their last 10 games but I'm choosing to back them tonight because of Karl-Anthony Towns' epic performances against the Mavs of late. In his last four games versus Dallas, he has averaged 25 points per game (62.3% from the field) and 13.3 RPG with a plus/minus of +58. In those four games that Towns has dominated, the T-Wolves are 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread.
OUR PREDICTION: MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES -5.5
