Lakers win back-to-back

Los Angeles is coming off a 124-106 win over Washington last night for a second straight victory and cover. The Lakers are 33-41 overall, 13-24 on the road, 29-43-2 against the spread and 45-28-1 with the under.

The Lakers are putting up 111.9 points per game on offense this season while shooting 47.2 percent from the field. Defensively, Los Angeles is giving up 113.7 points per game while opponents shoot 45.2 percent from the field. The Lakers have many players considered day-to-day due to various injuries. LeBron James is leading the team with 27.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game while Kyle Kuzma is adding 18.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest.

Jazz rolling along

Utah is coming off a 125-92 win over Phoenix on Monday night. The Jazz have won and covered the spread in seven of their last eight games. Utah is currently sixth in the West, ½ a game from fifth and 1 game ahead of seventh. The Jazz are 44-30 on the season, 24-12 at home, 40-32-2 against the spread and 38-35-1 with the under.

The Jazz are one of the top defensive teams in the league, giving up just 106.0 points per game while opponents are shooting 45.1 percent from the field. Offensively, Utah is putting up 110.9 points per game while shooting 46.4 percent as a team. Donovan Mitchell is leading the team with 23.4 points and 4.1 assists per game while Rudy Gobert is adding 15.6 points and 12.9 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 0-7 against the spread in their last seven games against a winning team and 1-4 ATS in their last five on no rest.

Utah

The Jazz are 8-1 against the spread in their last nine against a Pacific Division opponent and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 Wednesday games.

Prediction:

The Jazz have been pretty tough at home lately, winning their last three at home by at least 16. I am not sure the Lakers are going to have all the stars available due to this being the end of a back-to-back. I don’t know that LeBron will play and even with him, the Lakers haven’t exactly been competitive on the road. Utah shouldn’t be lacking in motivation, as they still have a lot to play for tonight.

NBA Prediction: Utah Jazz -13
