Will Pacers pound the Pelicans?
The Indiana Pacers and New Orleans Pelicans are both struggling as of late, but will Indiana shore things up at home when the two meet tonight at 7PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Pacers are heavily favored at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -13 points against the Pelicans. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 207.5 points.
Indiana is 37-33 overall, 21-13 at home and 35-34-1 against the spread. New Orleans is 26-44 overall, 8-27 on the road and 29-41 against the spread. The Pacers have won nine straight over the Pelicans, covering the spread in eight straight meetings. That includes a Jan. 8 meeting in New Orleans as the Pacers picked up a 91-86 victory.

The Pelicans are just 3-7 in their last 10 following a rash of injuries while the Pacers are just 2-3 in their last 5 as they battle for one of the final playoff spots in the East. While Indiana isn’t setting the world on fire, the Pacers have done well against losing teams, covering in four straight. They also are 14-2 ATS in their last 16 when getting two days of rest. With a lot at stake for Indiana, look for the Pacers to send a message against a team clearly in the tank.
