Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin
Joel Embiid returned from a one-game absence to score 37 points (8-of-17 FGs, 20-of-21 FTs) with 22 rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, one 3-pointer and three turnovers in 41 minutes against the Celtics on Wednesday. Embiid got the night off on Tuesday with Boston on tap on the second of a back-to-back set, which was good because he surpassed the 40-minute mark for the first time in over a month. He became the first 76er to post a line of at least 30 points and 20 rebounds against the Celtics since Moses Malone did it back in 1985. Embiid will have two days off before the team heads to Atlanta on Saturday.
Atlanta Hawks Fantasy Spin
Trae Young scored 23 points during a comeback 117-114 win over the Jazz on Thursday, adding two rebounds, 11 assists, five turnovers and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes. It's an impressive win for the Hawks to snap their three-game losing streak while also snapping Utah's five-game winning streak. Young continues his post-break tear, averaging 25.0 points, 4.6 boards, 8.5 dimes, 0.7 steals and 2.8 treys on a 45/42/89 shooting line in his previous games since All-Star. His shot-selection woes have subsided with Trae possibly moving into early-round ADP next year for standard leagues.
