Knicks vs. Trail Blazers Prediction
Are the Trail Blazers laying too many points to the Knicks tonight at 10:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Trail Blazers are now 11-point home favorites versus the Knicks after opening as 8-point favorites. As for the total, the number hit the board at 219 and has dropped to 218.5.
New York has now dropped eight of its last 10 games after losing last night to Utah on the road. The Knicks did cover in that game, however, and are now 5-5 against the spread over that same 10-game span. On the year, the Knicks are 37-34 against the spread, but are just 18-19 ATS on the road this season.
Portland enters play tonight having won seven of its last 10 games and is 6-4 against the spread during that same span. The Trail Blazers still own a losing record against the spread on the year, however. They're just 30-40 ATS overall and 14-18 against the spread at home.
OUR PREDICTION: The Knicks have covered in five of their last six games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous contest and are 4-1 against the number in their last five games versus Western Conference foes. They're also 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games coming off a loss, while the Trail Blazers are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games and have failed to cover in all four of their last four games playing on one day of rest.
