Will Heat roll past Pelicans?
The Miami Heat look to take advantage of a banged-up New Orleans Pelicans team when the two meet tonight at 8PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Heat are big favorites on the road, as Miami is getting odds of -8.5 points against the Pelicans. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 210 points.
Miami is 40-29 on the season, 17-16 on the road and 36-32-1 against the spread. New Orleans is 26-43 overall, 18-16 at home and 29-40 against the spread. Miami won the lone meeting between these two this season, 94-88 at home in OT back on Christmas Day. The Pelicans have covered the spread in three of the last four in this series.
The Pelicans are packing up for the season after announcing Anthony Davis will miss the rest of the year with a knee injury. He’s not the only one, as five Pelicans are out for the rest of the season. Miami has had some of its own injury issues, but managed to cover in 9 of its last 13 road games. The Heat have something to play for while the Pelicans are looking for a better lottery position.
