Warriors fall at Spurs
Golden State lost by a score of 111-105 Monday night at San Antonio to drop to 47-22 on the season and 23-12 on the road. The Warriors trailed 58-47 at halftime and were unable to rally all the way back after the break. Golden State shot 41-of-88 from the floor, 13-of-39 from 3-point range plus 10-of-12 at the charity stripe. Steph Curry paced the Warriors with 25 points including a 65-foot banked-in 3-pointer at the first quarter buzzer. He shot 9-of-25 from the floor, 6-of-18 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also notched eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals. Kevin Durant tallied 24 points, five boards and three assists. Klay Thompson had 14 points, five caroms and five assists. Draymond Green added 10 points, seven assists, three rebounds and three blocked shots.
T-Wolves drop third straight
Minnesota lost 117-102 Sunday night at Houston to fall to 32-38 overall and 9-28 on the road. The Timberwolves trailed 50-49 at halftime before being outscored 43-29 in the third quarter. Minnesota shot 38-of-92 from the field, 10-of-32 from 3-point range plus 16-of-23 at the free throw line. Karl-Anthony Towns paced the Timberwolves with 22 points on 8-of-22 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 4-of-5 at the free throw line. He also tallied 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocked shots. Josh Okogie accounted for 21 points, five boards and three dimes. Taj Gibson registered 15 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. NBA Betting Trends
The Warriors are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Golden State is 6-20-1 ATS in its last 27 Tuesday games.
The Timberwolves are 4-0 ATS in their last four games versus the Pacific Division. Minnesota is 1-5 ATS in its last six games overall.
Golden State is seemingly going through the motions until the playoffs, although it would probably be best-served to worry about losing the Western Conference's number one seed as it's currently deadlocked with the Denver Nuggets. Minnesota is a much different team at home and Towns has seemed to have the Warriors' number over the years. I'm taking Minnesota to stay within the number as Golden State is also likely fatigued with a back-to-back plus travel.
